In the land of over achievers the underachiever never makes the cut. Maybe the expectations that we set for ourselves are always a few notches high. We know what we are capable of, but the only one who can see it in us is ourselves. In a world where one has lofty dreams and high aspirations but are fueled by low inspiration. We run races with no clear end in sight. Living from one day to the next while the future is darker than staring down a pond on an overcast day.
We are not dreamers with our head in the clouds, we are not thinkers who cant see the present. We are lowly doers, who work to allow the dreamers, thinkers and leaders to bask in the ever fleeting moment of success.
We conform, we see the cracks, and we understand the very matrix that binds us. We scream silently of wanting to be free, but we can never comprehend the completeness of being completely free. The whole concept of complete freedom sounds unfathomable. We rely on order and rationale to govern our very fabric of society. The liberation of not being bounded, weighted or blurred by the trivialities of life is something that we cannot grasp within the limited structure of our mind.
We live like mechanical beasts shepherded by invisible rules and guidelines.
Within the teeming million of doers, lie select elite. Doers dreaming to be thinkers and leaders held down by the very rules they conform to. They understand the limitations of flexibility of freedom and have floating thoughts firmly rooted in the grounds of reality.
Unknown and nameless they exist, yearning for a few meagre scraps of appreciation from a thankless system
